This is the last week of the Little Black Jacket exhibition.
Chanel is holding it at the Saatchi Gallery, which is free for anyone to see,
so get there ASAP before you miss it!
Chanel Helmer has taken over 100 black and white photos of Karl
Lagerfeld’s favourite stars (men and women) wearing the iconic jacket. The
exhibition has 4 rooms filled with the photos and will be on show until October
28th.
The exhibition includes images of obvious personalities for
example Daphne Guinness, Alexa Chung and Vanessa Paradis, but then also holds
photos of less expected names like Kanye West and one of the youngest catwalk
stars Hudson Kroenig.
All photos capture the persons’ individual personality
making each photo unique. The dramatic Daphne Guinness shows this in her photo
where she’s heavily dressed is sparkly jewellery. Sarah Jessica Parker, wearing
a crown on her head, her hair big and a smile on her face making the photo more
fun. Then there’s Georgia May Jagger with her rumpled hair and only wearing a
black bra under the jacket, oozing sex appeal.
Others may just show inspiration on how to sport the tweed black jacket.
