French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier will be launching
his new street wear line for Autumn/Winter 2013.
It’s said that Gaultier will be teaming up with the Italian manufacturer
Ittierre SpA, to produce the menswear. Gibò SpA will be manufacturing the women’s
wear after a deal was made back in October.
Vogue have said that the line will ‘reflect Gaultier's
signature "sartorial" style and will be "close to the history of
Ittierre and to the consumer"’
Ittierre have previously worked on producing young
collections, so with Gaultier’s previous works and his flamboyant sense of
fashion, we can expect something fabulous.
We’re guessing plenty of lace, mesh and netting. It’s also predicted
that the clothing line will be sold in over 500 retailers within the first year.
It’s exceptionally early but keep your eyes peeled for the unveiling, so we can
see what he has in stock for us.
If you cant wait till then dont forget to pick up a can of his limited edition of Diet coke, with the Breton stripes or the lacey corsette design on some of the cans and bottles...
